Black-Hawk is one of the coolest geldings we have offered for sale. His unique coloring makes him a stand out in any crowd. Black-hawk is a finished NRHA Money Earning Reiner with all the fancy buttons and looks. Black-Hawk is sired by the great PALE FACE DUNIT who produced over $4 million NRHA.

He has been shown in the in the reining, ranch riding and ranch class. He is full of talent and heart making him the favorite for just about any job. Black-Hawk has the classiest spins, breath taking sliding stops and one handed minimal effort circles. This classy gentleman has absolutely no holes and has excelled in our program, making him easily one of the barn favorites and is always gentle with any amount of time off. Black-Hawk has unmatched ground manners and a huge Personality making him a breeze to clip, brush, wash, shoe , saddle.

He will cross any obstacles or terrain you throw at him with cadence and ease. Black-Hawk has been rode extensively on the ranch in all aspects of ranch work and in the feed yard loading & unloading trucks in the early morning hours. He is truly a pure and kind soul.

Monterey is eligible for the Breeders Invitational, The Bonanza, NCHA Super Stakes, NRCHA Cow Horse Incentive, and the Riata Buckle. 

We bought this exceptional gelding as a two yr old. He started in a cutting program and then went on in a cow horse program and has been used heavily as a ranch horse. Monterey is an old soul, the kind of horse that can stand up in a stall on full feed for over a month and walk out just as broke and gentle as the last time you rode him! 

Monterey has all feel and ride you could ever need. He is a monster stopper with fancy spins, beautiful lead departures and flawless circles. He’s a great fence horse so far and boxes a cow well. I believe he’s a horse someone could be super competitive on in the ALL of the VRH events! Monterey has been steer stopped on and has had lots of cattle pen roped on him too.

He has also been used for everything on the ranch. Weaning, doctoring, sorting, shipping, dragging calves the whole bit. He’s also spent ample time in the feed yard. This is a well rounded gelding that can do any job and do it with a huge amount of style!
