Belle

Introducing our the polka dotted wonder pony Belle she a 9-year-old sorrel quarter pony with roan throughout her body and a striking flaxen mane and tail, and she is truly one of those special horses that only comes along once in a great while. She has been in our family and close family friends’ care for the majority of her life, and she has been loved, used, and enjoyed by both kids and adults alike.

She has been affectionately called the “polka-dotted wonder pony” her whole life. — and she definitely lives up to the name. Belle has been hauled in the barrels, poles, and breakaway, and she knows her job well. She has been hauled to several Josie clinics, where she is spent in immense amount of time teaching and shaping her youth partners. 

Belle is a beautiful mover, smooth and correct, she has Fancy lead departures lopes around very soft and correct, she also has great handle and an easy way of going. She is safe for anyone that can ride, and consistently builds confidence in every kid that climbs board. Making her a great fit for any rider. She also has a long, luxurious mane that hangs all the way down past her shoulder, adding to her eye-catching looks wherever she goes.

On the ground, Belle is a pleasure to be around. She is easy to catch, stands well for shoeing, is simple to bathe and brush, and is excellent with her feet. Our kids ride her bareback everywhere, and she is just as trustworthy without a saddle as she is fully tacked up. She’s trying to curbside out, so even the tiniest kids can step on without a hassle.

Belle has been hauled to rodeos all over Texas and out of state, and she handles travel, new environments, and atmospheres with ease. She would truly fit any level of rider, from youth competitors to adults looking for a dependable, seasoned mare.

Not only does Belle shine in the rodeo arena, but she is also an absolute dream on the trail. She confidently goes through water, over rocks, across bridges, and through the brush with no hesitation, making her just as enjoyable outside the arena as she is inside it.

This mare has been a big part of our family for quite some time, and we have genuinely enjoyed every moment with her. She is versatile, safe, experienced, and beautiful inside and out.

INTHERUF lovingly known as “Play-Doh” is by the great AQHA stallion NOT RUF AT ALL and out of a phenomenon Colonels Smoking Gun mare. He is truly a once in a lifetime type of gelding that packs the pedigree,training,confirmation, temperament, and intelligence that we all look for in a forever partner. 

He has been a family favorite around our places he’s great to catch,easy to shoe,bathes and clips well, and is great around dogs,cats,kids, you name it. 

This gelding is a joy to ride inside the arena and will be your first choice in the barn for those afternoon trail rides with the family. We have used also him extensively outside on the ranch and in the feedlot gathering,doctoring,sorting pairs,loading trucks, and flagging the jackpots making him no stranger to a full days work. 

When it comes time go the arena our boy playdoh shines this gelding is a very smooth mover he stays light in the bridle no matter the circumstances he knows all of the basic reining maneuvers and has that sweet low headed and slow going lope that everyone can sit and enjoy. 

In the team roping he is very user friendly he stays calm in the box, rates the speed of cattle well, and will never take your shot away making him ideal for multiple levels of competitors and fun havers alike. 

We have been fortunate enough to haul playdoh with us all over the country and he has been ridden on some of the most gorgeous trail rides in America. He’s sure footed in rough terrain, crosses streams and rivers with ease, stays unbothered by vehicles and wildlife, and will side pass to the nearest log for easy mounting.

He handles rough terrain, steep country, water crossings, rocks, brush, and long trail rides with confidence and ease.

Joe Cartwright has also been used around the ranch and has proven himself to be quiet, supple, and easy to ride around cattle. Whether checking fences, gathering cattle, or simply covering country, he stays calm minded and willing every step of the way.

A sweet safe beginner pony that’s more go slow than go fast! He’s the kind to pack the toddlers around when mom and dad rope or jump on the trailer and babysit all day while you’re at the jackpots. There isn’t much that ever bothers him he’s soft enough for little arms to steer around. He never gets fresh and he is forgiving and patient. Pearl is easy to catch saddle and bathe he will stand tied for hours to be brushed on and never paw or nicker. He has zero vices and requires no tricks or maintenance. A good solid pony to teach the littles!
