memphis aka Cutie - lot 17

Meet Cutie! Registered in the National Quarter Pony Association. Cutie, like the Orange, and when you meet him in person you will completely understand! He is cute as can be, perfect confirmation wrapped in a striking dark gold coat, a snow white mane and tail, and big kind doe eyes!

Cutie has been our children’s go-to pony. They have quite literally done everything under the sun on him. He goes English or western. He has been to all the play days and horse shows, weekend camping trips, he’s been breakawayed on, we have trail rode him, drug calves, shipped, doctored cattle, and even shot the gun off of him. Cutie is the jack of all trades and we absolutely adore him for it!

Cutie started out in a reining program and he has all the fun buttons that are so hard to find in one his size. He has a big fun stop, cute turn arounds, and lopes around like your favorite show horse. Our Kids have taken Cutie to every horse show, and play day near us. They have also used him at home to rope on. Our oldest Kyler (9) has tracked slow calves around on him and our middle child Saylor (7) ropes the sled on him. Then you can turn right around and throw the littlest Townes (3) on him and do the lead line and let him stand and rope the dummy. Cutie truly adapts and fits every level of child.

Cutie also has impeccable ground manners. He will stand for hours for our little girl to brush him, bathe him, saddle him, or just simply play with him for the afternoon. He has the patience of a saint! He loads, hauls, and backs off the trailer with ease. He is easy to catch, tacks up like a dream and is always willing for whatever task our kids have thought of that day.

Our kids have also taken Cutie on miles and miles of trail rides. Crossing rivers, down timber, right by busy traffic, and through all kinds of terrain. He is sure-footed and steady as can be. Cutie is also trained to Curbside mount making it extremely easy for the little kids to mount even if they’re bareback in a pasture somewhere! Not only will cutie curbside and ride bareback but he will even go bridle less as well. He is so broke and so willing that there just not a thing you can’t do on him! He is truly the little horse that will teach your children how to ride a broke horse, and give them a world of confidence.

 Mr. Absolutely steal your heart, Roscoe!

This pony is every parents dream, an old soul, the ultimate beginner pony and a reliable confidence builder. Roscoe has been our kids best pal mainly our youngest (Townes who is 3) has claimed him for every single thing we do, probably because Roscoe will stand at the gate and just beg to be caught and then happily follows Townes anywhere he chooses to go.

Roscoe is a staple at SKC no matter where we go he is along for the ride. He is the go to for Townes, that child hits the ground running to go ride and do cowboy things aboard Roscoe!! It is a daily occurrence for Townes and Roscoe to rope the dummy and chase the steers for hours! It’s also not uncommon to catch Townes dragging Roscoe into his room to show him his trucks. When I tell you he goes anywhere Townes asks him to, it’s seriously everywhere!!!

Roscoe is a perfect gentleman to brush, bathe, saddle and will stand for hours to be groomed then tolerants whatever games the kids come up with! His manners are unmatched! Roscoe is also broke to drive and is the best to hook up and drive through town for the kids. He’s quiet in town around all the traffic, chaos, machinery, semi’s, dogs, fireworks you name it he’s seen it and pays it no mind. Our children have rode him bareback, double, triple, bridle-less, and English.. He is versatile, easy, ALWAYS so willing and truly just wants to please. Roscoe’s best quality is his personality and his kind demeanor. He truly loves his children and his job and that’s such a rare find in a pony!

Roscoe has an easy walk and trot they’re smooth and easy to sit. He stops great, side passes both ways, and lopes cute circles. Roscoe guides around light and soft making him ideal for the little kids. He has spent countless days pushing the roping steers up the return alley and roping the dummy and the sled. Saylor and Townes have also done every play day event known to mankind on this pony! Barrels, poles, goats, key hole, ribbon race, even egg and spoon. Townes started on Roscoe in the lead line and graduated on up to the 6 and under class. Saylor has even Carried the American Flag on Roscoe! This adorable pony has taken the best care of the kids and taught Townes so much.

Roscoe has been many many miles out on big country. He crosses water, rocky terrain, will safely travel down steep inclines and through any kind of brush. He is always careful with his footfall and  takes the best care of his rider. He’s seen all the wildlife and is unfazed. He will also ride off completely alone or stay right with the group it does not matter to him.

This is a pony that our children have made so many memories with and he’s ready to make him with the next family!
